Keyboards and mice soon to obsolete? The Cavs Begin To Cave

070606_selanne_hmed_10p.rp350x350 Teemu Selanne and the Anaheim Ducks finally won the Stanley Cup last night. For Teemu, he finally made it to the top. He’s been so close to Olympic Gold and World Championship Gold, but now he finally has perhaps the most coveted of all: Lord Stanley’s Cup.

The win also marked the first brother combination to win the Cup since 1983. Scott Niedermayer, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy making him the playoff MVP, had won 3 times before, but this marked the first for his brother Rod.

“You don’t really dream of passing it to your brother. I never have,” Scott said. “To be able to do that is definitely a highlight of my career.”

Looking back, it frustrates me that I couldn’t watch more of the playoffs. I can only hope that maybe hockey will regain some momentum heading into next season.

It’s official, Billy Donovan will not be the new Orlando Magic coach. That job now belongs to Stan Van Gundy. It will be interesting to see how Billy Donovan’s antics will be taken back at Florida University. I doubt there will be much tension, but it’s still sad that he caused so much confusion because he decided to change his mind a day later. At least Kobe changed his mind sooner.

In about an hour and a half, the NBA Finals will begin. I’m guessing I might be able to watch the whole series being that the Cavs are there, but we’ll see. As long as the Cavs don’t get blatantly screwed I think I’ll be ok.

Today was a busy day at work. We cleaned the entire front part of the office in preparation for all of the new machines arriving in about a month. We got rid of a ton of boxes and trash that was just thrown about. The office now looks prepared to be bombarded with Gateway boxes.

Paris Hilton is out of jail already. It’s dumb. It shows favoritism towards celebrities. I’m not wasting any more time on that subject.

Time to maybe work on some C# and get ready for basketball.
