Well, the Cavs lost Game 1 of the Finals Thursday night. I guess I can’t blame it on officiating, but I still wasn’t that into it. In fact, besides the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes of the game, I didn’t even watch. I watched TUF and just worked on some random projects. They have just as good of a shot at coming back and winning, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Lebron is good, but he can’t win a championship by himself. What’s sad is that it’s not his fault. Sure, he has players like Daniel Gibson on his team that are possible up and coming superstars, but not yet. Whether they win or lose, they’ve still exceeded expectations.
Roger Clemens has FINALLY pitched his first game back in the Majors. Does this mean I don’t have to hear about him anymore? There has been so much buildup and anticipation for his return, yet I don’t think that it matters. I can’t see anyone, even The Rocket, throwing the Yankees into the playoffs. Uh uh. Not happening.
It’s great to see Paris Hilton have to take what she deserves. With her back to serve her full sentence in jail, it seems that justice has actually been served to a celebrity. I’d like to say I’m not surprised…but I am. Plus, maybe she can get the help that she needs. Whether her “medical condition” is drugs, alcohol, or something else, this is a good opportunity for her to get treatment before it kills her. She’s not invincible and she’s learning it the hard way now.
It feels like it’s been a long weekend and it’s only Saturday. I don’t know whether that’s good or bad. Last night I went to Allen’s who was having some people over before he leaves to go to Morocco for the summer. Today Tera and I went to Newark so that she could get stuff for her brother’s graduation party. I didn’t figure we would be that long, but we ended up being gone for like 7 hours. We went to the mall and a bunch of other stores around there. I got some new shirts that were on sale so that was good. After that we stopped at her grandma’s place and stayed for a little bit before coming home. It was a long day but it was worth it.
