LLWS Last week was incredibly busy at work getting everything ready for the year to begin. Sorry for the lack of updates.

Georgia brought home the Little League World Series title for the second straight year today by defeating the heavily favored team from Tokyo, Japan 3-2 in an incredible extra inning finale. Dalton Carriker blasted a walk off home run in the bottom of the eighth to give Warner Robins, Georgia the win. It was the third straight for the United States. Thousands on hand chanted “USA! USA!” all afternoon and were treated to an amazing game with a win to go home happy.

Brady Quinn answered the critics’ questions last night by having an impressive game against the Denver Broncos. Quinn went 7 of 11 for 81 yards and one touchdown pass in the 17-16 Browns win. Sure, the TD was against backups; however, Quinn looked calm and confident for the second week in a row. I’m not jumping on the “Quinn is Cleveland’s Savior” bandwagon yet, but I was impressed.

Classes for Fall semester begin tomorrow. Tomorrow’s classes include Artificial Intelligence and Linear Algebra. Joy. Luckily I do not have to get up at 7am this semester like most of last semester.
