As you hopefully noticed, I did some work making the site look less plain. I’m pretty satisfied with the results. The new site definitely seems more easy on the eyes. Here are my picks for the NFL this week:![]()

Picking Cleveland over Washington might not be the smartest choice but I’m hopeful after the Browns win last Monday over the Giants. This weekend shouldn’t be too busy. I have some papers to work on but nothing too drastic. I just hope this weekend feels like it lasts longer than this past weekend.
My picks went 8-5 with only remaining game being MNF. I’m content with that. Yesterday was a great day to relax and I needed it desperately. After church, I spent the afternoon watching football and then following the games online. Around 6 I stopped at Tera’s and then went to her Grandma’s for her brothers birthday party. It was fun. I got dragged into painting Tera’s nails and surprisingly didn’t fail. Her nails turned out much better than the time she wanted me to dye her hair. We left her Grandma’s and watched a movie. Today it’s work from 9-5, pick up Tera’s rings, then probably to Cambridge. I came in early this morning so I could work on my OS project in the labs and managed to get what I couldn’t get to work for hours Saturday to work in about two minutes. The day is starting out good, I just hope it continues. Check out the Media Page to see the saddest safety in the history of football.

Yep, it’s been months and months but here I am. A lot of stuff has gone down since the last update. I got engaged, started my senior year at Muskingum, etc. Fun Fun. Classes this semester have kept me incredibly busy but I’m hoping to try and maintain some decent updates since most other people do. This one will have to be kept short, but I do want to post my picks for Week 6 of the NFL season. I’m going to try and keep my picks on here, might keep me from letting my blog go for a few more months lol. So here they are:![]()

Nothing new has been going on lately. I’ve been sick for the last few weeks but that’s been about it. Hopefully it starts to fade soon because it has really started to get annoying.
Weezer’s new album “The Red Album” came out yesterday. From what I’ve listened to so far I’d have to say it’s one of their better recent albums. Considering the fact three years have gone by with nothing new, anything is going to be better than nothing. It’s different but in a good way.
MMA had it’s network television debut on CBS last Saturday featuring Elite XC. The show felt more like WWE than true MMA. I could go on and on about what I didn’t like about it, but it’s better than nothing. If I had paid money for it rather than watching for free I would have been outraged.
Work has been boring lately. There seems to be nothing to do around here besides sit on the internet. As good as that may sound to some, it’s not!
I finally have time to relax. Right now I’m at Shawnee State Park in Portsmouth, Ohio hanging out. Tera had to come down here for work and I got to tag along to enjoy a free stay.
Classes are basically halfway over now. As far as I know my grades are pretty good. Shouldn’t be anything below a B or B-. The past few weeks have been insanely busy though. Project after project after lab after exam etc. This week of Spring Break is probably the most needed break I’ve ever had. I was beginning to go pretty crazy.
Since it’s officially March, that means March Madness is just about to kick into full swing. I’m pretty comfortable with where Duke is even though they could be better. I’m hoping they beat North Carolina again because I would think that would lock them in for a #1 seed. Only time will tell.
Time to watch some basketball.
The past weekend was a lot of fun. Tera and I went to Columbus to celebrate my friend Mark getting into Vet School. It was nice to see some people I haven’t seen in a few months. Probably one of the best parties I’ve ever been, too. And surprisingly, there wasn’t a lot of drama.
Sunday is the Super Bowl. As much as I want to pick the Giants to win, I just can’t. My official prediction: Patriots over the Giants 31-17. I hope it’s closer than that. This is certainly a year when I’m expecting to be entertained by the commercials more than the game. There’s been so much hype about the Patriots being 19-0 that I’ve just accepted that it’s probably going to happen.
Duke has now reached a #3 ranking in the polls. As much as I want to believe they’re that good, I’m not quite sure. I would have them in my top 10 but not top 3. The nice thing right now is knowing that they are at least that good. Unlike last year, each game feels a bit more comfortable.
Tera and I watched one of the creepiest movies that I’ve seen in awhile called “Joshua” last night. It was about a family of 3 that just had a new baby girl. The son, who is about 9 years old, starts making strange things happen in order to basically ruin their lives. It was one of those movies that I don’t know if I would recommend even though I kind of liked it. If you’re in the mood to watch a movie that makes you through up your hands in wonder of what the heck you’re seeing, go for it.
Time to get back to homework.
Although it wasn’t here, I actually did have a post in between early January and now; however, it was made as a page rather than a post. Oh well. Nothing much has been going on. Classes resumed last week and I couldn’t be more hurt. Back to not having enough free time. There was one great positive to come out of last week. I turned 21! Probably one of the last memorable birthdays. It was a pretty good birthday though so I can’t complain too much.
Super Bowl XLII is finally set. After New England defeated San Diego and New York defeated Green Bay, it will be the Patriots vs. Giants. The NY/Green Bay game was painful to watch since it was so cold. I believe the temperature was -2 at game time with the wind chill at -24. It was definitely a game where I was much happier to be sitting inside my warm house on the couch than freezing in the stadium. The Super Bowl will probably be a blowout. Even though the Giants gave the Pats a good game in Week 17, I can’t see them hanging around for this one.
Since classes were canceled for MLK Jr. Day I’m working in CNS for the day. I figured it was an easy way to pick up some extra money. Time to go get some work done.
Finally, this week of classes and exams is over. I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. I think I did alright on most of my exams but I won’t know for sure until probably next week. Regardless, it’s over and I’m done worrying about it for now. Time to enjoy a 4 day weekend.
Tera’s friend Luke has been in town most of the week so she’s been busy hanging out with him. Since I wasn’t busy studying for once, I went bowling with them and a couple other people last night. I bowled amazing my first game but after that it was all down hill. Scott and I had to do a lot of heavy lifting at work during the day so my arm didn’t hold up for long bowling. It was still fun though. $6 all you can bowl for about 2 1/2 hours. Plus it was glow in the dark. After that it was back to Tera’s to just hang out.
With all of the upsets this year in football, I’m begging for Notre Dame to upset #4 Boston College. Not that it would save what’s left of this season, but it would definitely be a big positive to remember it by. While I don’t see it happening, I can still dream.
Speaking of dreams, the Indians seemed to have woken up last night getting defeated 10-3 last night by the Boston Red Sox. If they can at least make it interesting I’ll be happy. The Indians shouldn’t lose that bad again, but stranger things have happened.
I’m going to do some cleaning up and organizing around here since my room became a wreck this week. Go Irish!
